About the Author
Jessica Rios is a trauma-informed psychotherapist, writer, advocate for women and human rights, and a proud sister, friend, daughter, wife, dog mom, and lifelong Yankees fan. Her journey with grief began as a teenager, volunteering for the Department for the Aging, and deepened through her clinical training as a licensed clinical social worker. Today, Jess dedicates her private practice to guiding individuals through the tangled paths of trauma, loss, life transitions, and the complexities of grief.

Raised in New York, Jess has been a devoted Yankee fan since the 1994 season. What began as an escape from the uncertainties of childhood became a lifelong love affair with baseball, rooted in resilience, ritual, and the belief that even after a loss, there is always another at bat.
